Low cost family skiing and snowboarding holiday accommodation

snow on ski slope The nearest skiing resorts are Les Angles and Font Romeu, which are about a 45 minute drive away from Rodes.

Our Gite is ideal for families, people on a tight budget, and anyone wishing to avoid the expense and bustle of resorts such as Val d'Isere. Although we can’t offer the apres-ski of Val d'Isère, we have a large, quiet rural Gite which is ideal to share with friends or family. The very spacious Gite has 3 double bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 or 8 people.

We are situated midway between the Pyrenean Ski resorts of Les Angles & Font Romeu and Perpignan airport, which has low cost Ryanair flights from Stansted.

The Gîte has an impressive woodburning stove as a focal point for the winter evening. The Gite has an additional washing/shower room which can also be used to dry ski clothes.

For short skiing holidays we also have Bed and Breakfast, or Half Pension accommodation, with 2 double bedrooms available. The B&B accommodation may be booked for a minimum of 1 night, so it is ideal just to get away for the weekend!

Skiing facilities

The ski resorts are situated on the plateaus of the Cerdagne & Capcir at height of approx 1800m. The winter season starts in December and often lasts through into April. The main resorts are at Font Romeu - Pyrenees 2000 and Les Angles. There are also a number of smaller, quieter resorts in the region.

Font Romeu - Pyrenees 2000 has 40 pistes covering 52 km in total (6 black, 8 red, 11 blue, 15 green). There are also 95 km of tracks for Nordic skiing and close to the town is a surf park. Ice skating facilties also exist.

Les Angles has 32 pistes covering 40 km in total (2 black, 17 red, 5 blue, 8 green) and 42km of tracks for Nordic skiing. It also has a snowboard park.
