From the North
The SNCF TGV
(Train Grande Vitesse) has a daily service from Paris to Perpignan, with a
journey time of about 6 hours.
St Pancras to Avignon with Eurostar from May to October and then TGV to Perpignan. Guest fedback says it's incredibly quick! (and civilised) see: www.directrail.com/eurostar.aspx
During the summer there is also a TGV direct service between Brussels and Perpignan.
From the South
The TGV service will be extended from Perpignan to Barcelona with an expected
journey time of just forty minutes. In December 2010 a TGV service ran into
Spain from Perpignan for the first time, but only goes as far as Figueres
(about 40 Kms). The journey from the south to Figueres can be accomplished
by conventional train.
There is also a bus service called Frogbus serving the journey between Girona airport and Perpignan central train station. Advanced on-line booking will probably be the cheapest option. See: www.frogbus.com/en
